Personal Statement
I would have to say what makes me a good candidate for their team is my passion for running. My complete and utter love for the sport, running in general. I have what it takes to excel at that level, the will to improve. I am very social and have a great bubbly personality that most people love, I get along with everyone. Team work is a necessity in any sport, weather its pushing your teammates to get there times down or weather it be doing my part in helping the team become victorious.
I am sure that all recruits have something in common. For example, the need to strive towards greatness and better themselves. However, my passion is intense and different from everyone else, all i ever think about is running. I literally dream of being at meets, waking up with the adrenaline to run. Everyday i push myself to do better. I feel as if I have no limits. Whatever challenges my coach hands to me during a workout I accept without protest. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to overcome any obstacle to proceed to the next level. As far as athletics goes, there was once a time where i didn't believe in myself. I was afraid i wasn't going to be good enough my 9th grade year. I wasn't aware of my potential my coach kept telling me I had. But now that i have had a couple years under my belt, I see things completely different now. I have worked long and hard to get where I am.. Sweat, blood, and sometimes tears. But I never gave up, no matter how many times I fell I always found the strength to get back up. I am happy to say I am very proud of how far i have come, but I am not quite satisfied. I want to go further,do bigger and better things. Not just in athletics, but also academically. Again, my 9th grade year was also a struggle. I have improved immensely and I continue striving to do better. I honestly care about my grades a great quantity. The only problem I have really ever had in school was with mathematics. I am a vivid reader, i excel in every other area. Right now I am having some trouble in Chemistry due to the math involved in it. I am working extremely hard to improve my GPA in order to meet the qualifications certain colleges may have for student athletes. This is what I believe that makes me a good candidate for any team and what makes me different from other recruits.
