The 2013-2014 school year will be my third year throwing shot put. I threw last year and my 8th grade year. Ever since 8th grade, I've been hooked on throwing and haven't wanted to quit. I am a very hard worker, both in and out of the ring, and I take instruction very well. Anything and everything I am told that can make me a better athlete, I take it and use it in my next throw.
In the classroom, I am a very hard worker and strive to be the best student I can be. I know that, being a student-athlete, student comes first, so I must push myself in every way I can.
Outside of the classroom, I am involved in my school's SADD program and Link Crew. I enjoy helping others and love the fact that Tecumseh High School offers so many different ways to do so.
After high school, I am planning to attend Eastern Michigan University and major in Accounting.
During the 2014-2015 indoor season, I have been conditioning 3-5 days a week, (as of January 5, 2015). I competed at the University of Michigan once, and Eastern Michigan twice. On February 19, 2015, I qualified for the Indoor State Meet with a shot put throw of 31'6.5". I am going to throw at the meet on February 28, 2015, and my goal is 33'4".
