From an early age, having big goals was always encouraged by my parents. As a young child, I was adamant on making it to the moon. Now the moon is a little far out of reach, but having a collegiate throwing career is not. The first time I picked up a shot I knew that throwing was my niche. This outdoor season (2021) will be my sixth year throwing and my fourth year competing, five years competing if you include my 2019-2020 indoor season.
I believe that I am different than other recruits solely because of my mental strength. Sure physical strength will get you far throws, but being able to perform well under pressure and keep your composure is imperative as an athlete. Recently I have been training to strengthen myself both physically and mentally. I believe that I have what it takes to go the distance to have a successful collegiate career. Track has taught me how to push myself in ways I didn't think were possible. I've worked through my fair share of injuries, bad practices, and all together bad meets
I still have yet to decide what I want to study in college, but recently I have been leaning towards education or biomedical engineering.
