Erin Leary '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Erin Leary a student athlete of the class of 2017 at Lourdes High School in Rochester, MN. I run the 800 as my primary event but also compete in any range from a 400 to a 1600. I have been competing at the varsity level since my freshman year, and enjoy working hard to be apart of a respected team at Lourdes.

Ever since my first year of track in 8th grade, it has done so much to benefit me. It has instilled in me a work ethic on the track and in the classroom. Track motivated me to switch from soccer to cross country my sophomore year. We ended up winning a Conference Title, and advanced to the State Cross Country meet this past November. For this years cross country season I was elected a captain as a junior by my teammates and coaches, and I thank track for all that success.

This past track season I earned an All Conference title and advanced to the Section 1A championships. I intend to take my training to an even more intense level for this upcoming season.

Through track I developed a passion for the sport and enjoy working hard everyday towards my goals with intensity and discipline.
