Personal Statement
I remember the first time I sprinted. I was probably six and I loved it more than anything. I was a gymnast at that time, and I would always get excited whenever we would have sprint days. I loved pushing my body to see how fast I could go. I started track in seventh grade, and I knew I wanted to continue to participate in track throughout high school. In the begennig, I didn't really take track very seriously, I just wanted to have fun. After I completed my sophmore year of track I was tired of just being ok and started trainig in the off season. I had already received a varsity letter twice in my previous years for long jump so I focused more on my jumping than on my sprinting. I then had my most succesful track season yet and even broke my Eden Prairie High School long jump record! Even though I didn't work very hard when I first started trak I've seen how much it can pay off and I love seeing what I am truly capable of. I would be a great candidate for your team because I now know one has to work hard to see amazing results and I'm now ready to put in that work to continue being the best athlete I can be.
