Running track in college has been a goal of mine for years. I am constantly pushing to better myself as an athlete, but also as a student. For me, running track is a privilege. I take pride in my studies and realize that being a good athlete also means applying myself in the classroom.
As a freshman, I was chosen as the anchor of our 4x400 meter relay team, due to the persistent pride I feel and share with my team every race. Holding this position is important to me; it shows others I'm not just a personal player, but a team player.
I believe that I have many assets that can compliment your track program. I always bring along a positive attitude and recognize the continuous demand of improvement. I am willing to learn new skills and build on my current strengths to become an even better athlete. As the oldest of two brothers and three sisters, I am a born leader and understand the importance of being a good example. I look forward to bringing these characteristics to a track team during my college career.
