Personal Statement
My goal as a student athlete is to maintain a GPA of 3.9 and above, while continuing to improve my personal records, strength, and speed in track. I hope to jump 19 feet in long jump this coming spring and pole vault at least 10 feet, if not more. And continue to improve my personal records in college. I think what makes me different from everyone else is that I have spent the past 15 years being a part of a show gymnastics team. I have had the opportunity to perform at basketball halftime shows at ACC tournaments, Duke, UNC, the Chicago Bulls, OKC, Kansas University and multiple other college and NBA games. I know what it takes to be a committed, hard working student athlete and I'm looking forward to bettering myself in the years to come. My high school does not have a track or a long jump pit or facilities for vaulting. The track season is very short in North Dakota, despite this I have been able to compete at a high level and hope to improve significantly with year around training and facilities.
