In 7th grade I had a serious attitude adjustment. I was a very grumpy and rude kid. I have changed a lot since then and that is why I want to be a high school counselor. My counselor helped form me to the person I am now. Academically I would just like to do the best I can in school. That goes for college and high school. In third grade we were introduced to a meet called the little red track meet. You can participate in it from 3rd grade to 6th grade then you move up to junior high track meet. When the time came for the track meet I didn't do to bad in shot put. Ever since 3rd grade I have loved shot put and then in 7th grade I tried discus and that went pretty well too. So I have always had a love for shot put and discus. One thing I have learned in all the years I have thrown is that you will have good and bad days in track. One day you could be throwing great, then the next day you could be throwing 40 feet less. It's rough, but one bad day cannot effect your whole season.
I have had to overcome some big obstacles in the previous year. In 10th grade during basketball I somehow dislodged my clavicle. It was pushed back and up 6mm. The doctors told me it would be away by the time track came around, but now as a junior it has not gotten any better. When it comes to track and field I would go through any obstacle.
On thursday may 12th I competed at district track meet at Fillmore Central and I placed second, landing me a spot at state track on May 20th and 21st. I didn't throw a very good throw, it was 113', I am right now struggling with a strained right hamstring so my throwing is definetly not where I want it to be, but I hope by state I will see the marks I want to see!
