Personal Statement
I am a Senior at Colts Neck High School, NJ with my strongest events being the multis, hurdles, and jumps. I started my Senior indoor track season winning a pentathlon at the Armory in NYC with 3234 points. I currently hold individual school records in 55HH -8.40 sec, 100MHH - 14.80sec, TJ - 37'10.5", pentathlon - 3234 points and heptathlon - 3961 points and a team member of district records in the 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and 4 x 100 shuttle hurdles. My pr in the 400h is 1:05.04, HJ is 5' 3", and LJ is 17'3.5". I have competed in 3 heptathlons and last summer scored 3961 points in the heptathlon at the USATF National Jr. Olymics. During the summer of 2011, I had the incredible opportunity of traveling to Stockholm, Sweden and Iceland as part of the USAT Elite Track Club, coached by former Olympians Frank Harrison, Augie Wolf and Knut Hjeltnes. At the DN Galan Youth Games in Stockholm, Sweden's Olympic Stadium, I placed 4th in the 300h and 7th in the 100h for U-16 girls. I placed 3rd in the 300h in Iceland. I have been named All-District and All-County for jumps and hurdles my freshman, sophomore and junior years. I have competed in the Eastern Region Championships and the NJ State Championships multiple times in hurdles, jumps and 4x400. Last indoor and outdoor season, I also competed on 4 separate relay teams and in two individual events at the New Balance Nationals. My dedication to challenging myself can be seen in my participation in the Junior Naval ROTC program at my school and in my academic performance. My goal is to perform at the highest level throughout my college career, contributing to a team and continuing to learn and develop with a coach who can guide me.
