Jewel Wilson '13 Recruiting Profile

Im not one who likes the lime light. I am very out going and humble. Some times my father says I can be too modest, but i have been breaking out of that shell. I am very talented in many areas. I have skills in dance, I know how to play the flute, I can sing, I write poetry and am an athlete. I love to compete and branch out to new things. One of my biggest dreams is to see the northern lights and go skydiving. I like thrills in life and want to live all that I can. I do not like alcohol or drugs of any form and to be associated with that is not in my character. I grew up in the church and even missed the freshman field trip to atend my purity ceremony. I would love to become a forensic anthropologist or a crime scene investigator and be able to open my own bearu someday. Family is a big thing for me because they have been very supportive in all my dreams. One of my favorite quotes, "To give anything Less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." I think is very inspirational and not only for sports, but for life in general. The comrodery and team-like atmosphere is what i love about sports. You learn so much and grow as well. Another big dream of mine is to dunk one day :) I love helping other people. I do not wish to become famous or rich and envied, but if I had to choose my legacy I would hope that I was someone who was able to inspire others to want more out of life. I have a lot of patience and love working with disabled or less fortunate people because it allows me to appreciate all that i have. God would not have blessed me with my talents if he did not believe in my capability of utilizing them.
