My name is Victoria Alvarado I am a 17 year old Junior at Moriarty High School in New Mexico. I have been running track since the 6th grade and on my Varsity track team since freshman year, I got the opportunity to be pulled up my 7th grade year at the Varsity level but unfortunately that did not last long due to COVID restrictions. My freshman year showed me the potential I have as a sprinter and even more so as a hurdler. Even though track is my passion it is still second to my education and grades. I make sure my grades are good and all work is finished before I do any training, I strive for that All District Academic Award at the end of every sport season. Since middle school I have been a three sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track, I have worked hard over the years and I now am on Varsity for those three sports. I am a hard worker and my favorite thing about sports is the feeling of learning and improving on a certain skill to achieve more in the long run. I love when my coaches correct me or teach me drills that will help me fix my imperfections. When I go to college I want to major in Education, business, or even maybe sports medicine, I haven’t decided yet.
