Personal Statement
Running has been my passion ever since I can remember. With each success in my running career, I have learned more about the will power and determination needed in order reach my next goal. I have applied that same work ethic to my classroom studies as well, achieving the Most Outstanding Student in my junior year of high school as well as Highest Honor Roll each year of high school so far. My coaches have made me captain for 2 years now of my cross country/track team because of the positive example I set while working towards all my goals. I put in many hours of studying and miles upon miles of training in order to make the most of my high school years and set myself up for a road of success in years to come.
I believe in taking the gifts and opportunities I have been given and sharing them with others. Therefore, I participate in many hours of volunteer work around my community, through many activities including making a meal for the Ronald McDonald House and helping out in hospitals with Patent Transporting. Knowing that I have changed someone’s day for the better is the ultimate reward for me.
My goal is to run for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically while I pursue the study of Occupational Therapy. I hope to be the best Student-Athlete I can be in college.
