Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to run for a division 2 college. I aspire to run the 400 meter hurdles and 100 meter hurdles at a college level. I am continuously working towards my goal to be faster whether it means staying after practice or coming in on my own time to practice. I always try to push myself during practice. I accept constructive criticism very well and I try to apply it in my running. When practicing with other team members I try to give them helpful feedback or allow them to give me helpful tips on running form, hurdle form etc. I am also very open to what my coaches have to say to me and what they tell me to improve upon. Track is very important to me but my academics have also been just as important. For the two years I have been in high school I have maintained above a 93 average for my final average, and above a 92 average for each marking period. I believe I am an excellent candidate for any team because I am open to opinions and constructive criticism, and work very hard at my goals. I know that there is always room for me to improve to become a better athlete.
