I began running track freshman year and when I first started I was not sure what event would be best for me. I started off with sprints and thought it was a good fit. But then my coach let my take a test run on hurdling and immediately I loved them. Throughout the years I continued to run 400 hurdles and get lower times. Track isn't just a sport to me, it is a passion. There's nothing better than going out on the track and leaving everything there. Everyday doing the best I can do, challenging myself to become a better runner.
Not only do I push myself on the track but also in school. Senior year I decided to fill my schedule with courses that would help me prepare for college instead of taking the easy way out. With AP and honors classes, I have to make sure I keep up on my classwork, projects and homework. Outside of school I have two part time jobs at CVS and Panera Bread. There's never a slow moment in my life and with everything I do i am dedicated and motivated to do the best.
I am focused on ending my senior year the absolute best so I can have the chance to go to a great college. I want to major in business and minor in psychology. I would also love to run track in college to continue to improve and hopefully get my time under a minute.
