Personal Statement
I have been involved in sports ever since I was very young. I have competed in MMA fighting, gymnastics, and soccer. My strongest assets have always been my speed, agility and eagerness to take on every new challenge that crossed my path. My dream, ever since I was a young girl, was to compete in track and field at the collegiate level.
I am one of the fastest girls off the block and train very hard not only at practice, but almost every day on my own as well. My Dad is a personal trainer and I have been very committed to my weight-training almost my entire life. I feel I am extremely coachable, hardworking and dedicated to everything I do. No matter what the life challenge, I think it is important to put 100% into everything I do. This is a philosophy I follow every day both on and off the track.
Academically, I strive to maintain a high GPA and am involved in school activities as much as possible. Clubs I actively participate in school are DECA, Rotary Club, Science Academy and I will be a PRIDE leader during my junior year of high school. In addition to the school clubs, I volunteer with my local youth group at my church. It is my desire to attend a college where I can challenge myself both academically as well as on the track. I am open to all options and hope to find a college where I can compete at the highest level. Overall, I want to make the most of my college experience. I feel it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent an outstanding college as a scholar and athlete. I am more than willing to put in the work to make this dream come true.
