I am currently a junior at Paramus Catholic High School, where I have received many academic achievements and earned the President’s List throughout high school. Before track and field, I was a competitive gymnast who competed at one of the highest levels that the sport offered. Through my experiences with gymnastics, I have learned dedication, determination, and perseverance. As a result of this I have learned how to maintain my studies while also training as an athlete. After retiring from gymnastics, I became a varsity athlete in track and field. I began track and field my freshman year of high school and have continued ever since. In my short time doing this sport I have qualified and competed in the New Balance Nationals for all three of the events I compete in, which are high jump, long jump, and triple jump. In my freshman year I received second place in the freshman triple jump at nationals, breaking the national record on my first jump. As a sophomore I received First Team All-County for indoor high jump as well as outdoor long jump . One of my greatest aspirations is to continue track and field in college, gaining more knowledge and technique to help me not only grow as an athlete but as a person. I hope to compete at world-wide championships and advance my studies at a great college.
