Personal Statement

Throughout high school, track and field has been my drive to seek success in life. My coaches and teammates have inspired me to push myself and never settle. I've been able to build a motivational character for myself and used it through my schooling to take on AP and college level courses. I plan on redirecting myself towards preparing for a science based career in college. My interests are directed towards public health, biomedical engineering and architectural and environmental design engineering. Track for me isn't just a sport that I live by but it's a sport that shines a light on an alternative character that is reflected through the sport. It has helped me learn more about myself, how everything isn't handed to you even if you work hard, and how you cannot be satisfied even if you are the best. Track has opened up doors of drive that was shut before I started in middle school, and continuing in college is something I will do no matter what.
