Personal Statement
I have been running cross country from the age of 12 and represented my county in the All Ireland community games. My family relocated to the US from Ireland in late October 2011. In my first season running cross country in the US and I have thoroughly enjoyed it and I have worked really hard so much so that I have already reduced my times significantly with my coach looking to promote me to varsity next season. I won JV most improved runner at the XC end of season banquet 2013.
I would love the opportunity to run competitively at college level both at XC and middle distance while studying for a career in business and marketing. I believe I have the potential to progress to the next level with hard work and the support of my mentors & family.
I won most improved runner on the Varsity team 2014 at the end of year team season banquet.
This year for the 2015 season I am a Varsity team Captain, for the last two seasons I have improved on my time on my PR. I have set my target this year to break 19:45 and become a silver elite runner.
