Personal Statement
My plan for college is to receive my Doctorate's degree in Anesthesiology and pursue a career as an anesthesiologist. I plan to excel in my academics and athletics throughout college. My goals for my Indoor/Outdoor Track Season in my senior year: run anywhere from 10:30-10:40 in the 3,000 meter, 4:45-4:50 in the 1500 meter and 2:30's for the 800 meter. My goals for my Cross Country season in my senior year: run 17:50-18:00 in the 5k and anything less than a 5k should be in the 18:00 minute range. My work ethic is very successful due to my passion and dedication that I have towards running. I go above and beyond on what my coach tells me to do. My attitude towards running and hard work is very enthusiastic because I am always looking for a challenge. My dislikes are easy days and rest days because I want to continuously work hard and I enjoy being active. I am not someone who sits inside all day playing on their phone or their computer. There are more things to life than that. Instead, I usually go biking, play soccer, baseball or football with my neighbors. I am a very unique runner compared to most because I always strive to train harder and run more miles than my coach tells me to, while others can be satisfied with a three mile run. I know of distance runners who don't care to run anything more than three miles or will do anything to not work as hard. I have been a captain of the girl's long distance program in indoor, outdoor and cross country and I lead my team with my actions. They all know how hard I work, how much time I put in and how dedicated I am to my sport. Running is just as important to me as my academics are. Unlike most students, I enjoy school a lot because I like to keep learning new things. My favorite subjects are anatomy and chemistry and my weakest subject is history. I have a lot of potential for my sport and my academics. It would be my pleasure to be recruited.
