Personal Statement
I started running Varsity Track and Field at the age of 13 years old. I've been in love with the sport ever since. Participating in college sports is a big opportunity for me and it requires a lot of responsibility and dedication.
I have an explosive start, quick reaction time, and I finish strong in all of my races. I train all year-round and I try to be a motivator to all of my teammates. I take all of my coach’s advice and I use it to make me better on the track. I'm a very competitive person and I always try to push myself harder in every race.
In school my academics come first before everything. I study very hard and try to keep my GPA high. I volunteer at Track and Field Youth Programs and help out the community as well.
I want to excel in college not just work hard in track. Working hard at the collegiate level will help me reach my career goals & become successful in life. I'm looking for a college where I can excel academically, compete at the highest level & become a positive member of the college community. I am open to all options and my ultimate goal is to locate the right college environment for me. I hope to not only become a better athlete but to become a better leader, role model and make my parents proud.
