Personal Statement
As an athlete my goal has always been to compete at the collegiate level. I was previously a gymnast for 14 years, after several injuries I decided to give up the sport in the fall of my junior year. Spring of my junior year I decided to give track a try and fell in love with it. My gymnastics background has given me a lot of help with pole vault, the event seemed to come pretty natural. Sports have always been a major part of my life and taught me time management and responsibility with my academics. My parents have always taught me academics come before athletics, which has helped me earn my current 3.8 GPA.
