Throwing Shot Put and Discus was a choice I made in the Seventh grade without knowing anything about the sport. From the beginning I was placing first at meets and I have been succeeding since. Joining this sport has changed my life in such a positive way and I would be pleased to throw in college and compete against some of the best.
Goals that I have set for myself for this upcoming year of throwing Shot Put and Discus are eminent. I am looking forward to hit in the 120's in Discus, and also 34' in Shot Put.
Being apart of a team is a great way to make friends and to also have others there to push yourself when you need support. No matter if I am in a class room or in the lifting room I give my best that I can give. I push myself to great limits to strive to become the best at what I do. I am very self motivated and positive which helps me succeed through tough times and work outs. I am very coachable when it comes down to drills and fixing technique. Being a leader is a quality that I have gained from coaching beginners on the Tennis team and also working with the young kids that I babysit. Compared to other recruits I work harder and longer than all.
Upholding a high GPA and studying can be hard, but with motivation and perserverance I have kept high grades and also positive goals.
I am looking forward to the challenges that the next year of High School and also college put towards me. I am always up for new experiences no matter what they are. I would like to push myself to a higher level of competition in college. I would like the show my teammates and also former classmates how I am a role model in both the classroom and also out on the track.
