Personal Statement
My collegiate plans for the future are very open ended. I am willing to give different schools a chance and see what they each have to offer and what will fit my needs best. Eventually I would like to work as a labor and delivery room nurse. I would be an excellent candidate for anyone's team because of my high work ethic and my drive to do my best and improve. Recently, I have won two awards for both track and cross country for sportsmanship which is key to being a part of a team. This 2015 cross country season I earned team MVP mainly by becoming the first girl in the school to make it to the state cross country meet. I am also first team all league, first team all district, first team all region and a state qualifier (placing 28th). My coaches and family have high expectations for me and to perform nothing less than my best and be a strong leader. My personality is something that will definitely set me apart from other recruits, win or lose I remain humble and always strive for a better win next time. My freshman year of high school I ran track in the spring and performed exceptionally well for being a first time runner. Half way into the season I was running a 2:45 half mile and a 5:56 mile when I had to take time off due to a stress fracture in my tibia. After two weeks of being out, I started training for my first cross country season. My coaches knew that I had what it takes but they didn't realize I had this much. My personal best 5k run for the 2014 season was 20:51 and I advanced to the regional tournament which was a huge accomplishment in my book. Not only do I stand out in my running, but also in academics. I am high up in my class ranking and always have been. I maintain a 4.0GPA while taking honors classes and starting to enroll in college courses at Miami University Middletown for dual enrollment for next year. I know that you will find me to overall be a hardworking student athlete with a promising future in both athletics and academics when given the chance to succeed.
