Hello, My name is Emily and I am a Senior at Rootstown High School. As you can see, I am a runner, but I am also involved in many other activities. I have participated in Drama Club, Concert Choir, and the Bowling team. I also love reading and read several books a month. In January of 2013 joined Project MORE as a student reading tutor to help middle school students with their reading abilities. I also participate in my church youth group. I have set several goals for myself, athletically and academically. I have always struggled academically as I am ADHD but am proud to say I am not on any prescriptions for this. I manage my ADHD with a proper diet and exercise. It is often difficult to concentrate, but I work hard at my studies. My goals are maintain a 3.0 grade point average (currently I have a 2.9) and work with my teachers to better understand my studies. I am still exploring my options for a career and am thinking about marketing, teaching, or sports management. I also know that I want to coach track. I love running, and am proud that I now hold 2 school records, one in the 4x100 and the other in the 100hh. My goals for my senior season are as follows. I will achieve, 21.5 min 5k in cross country, and a 15.5 sec. 100hh. I will also push my self to PR in all my events. It is also my goal to be named ALL P.T.C First team in Track and to be team captain. I look forward to competing at the college level and one day hope to qualify to try out for the US Olympic Track Team. I will continue to train athletically, listen to my coaches, and learn all I can so I am prepared to compete at the next level. I will continue to work hard in my studies and ask for help when I need it. I am very excited for my future!
