I started running track my freshman year after watching my brother run for a couple seasons. I wanted to run track in middle school, but was always busy playing select soccer. Since starting track, running has become a passion of mine. After last season I decided I wanted to take my running career even further and run in college so I stopped playing select soccer to focus on track. I started running the 100m, 200m, 4x100 and 4x200 my freshman year. My coach pushed me to move to a mid distance race where I started running the 4x200, 4x400 and 400m last season. I was able to drop my 400m time 5 seconds last year since starting to train for the race and I hope to drop it even more this year. I have a huge passion for running and academics. I am a National Honor Society member and currently carry a 4.0 GPA. I want to work with newborns when I am older and plan to be a nurse practitioner specializing in neonatal care. I hope to become a great asset on your team.
