Personal Statement
My name is Elayna Brizendine and I am currently a senior at Grove City High School in Grove City, OH. I am a 5'6 120 pounf athlete, and can compete under any given condition. In my 100m dash, my fastest recorded time is at 12.8 seconds, and my 200m dash is at 28.8 seconds. My most important accomplishments would be coming in as a junior to the track team, and leading my relay team to regionals, which had not been done in a number of years. I also earned the Rookie of the Year award. To your team, I can offer a number of things. I take criticism well, and often learn from it. If you tell me to do something, I will keep doing it untill i reach satisfaction for both you as my coach and for me as an athlete. I would never show you or a teammate disrepsect or attitude. I am a driven young lady, and will keep practicing untill i reach my goals, on and off season. I am more than willing to lead a team, and to always help others out when they need it. I am looking for a small school, with high academic level, and preferrably division one, but if that is not at all possible, I am open to whatever school that would enjoy having me as a part of it. My family would meet the requirements for Financial aid. My mother is a single mother and is attending college herself, along with my sister as well. She has no income, but is working on trying to find a job. My major I am wishing to pursue is Nursing. I love helping others out, and what other way to be there for someone than when they are in absolute need of someone to support and help out. My realistic goal as an incoming freshman would be to break records for myself and possibly for the school. I would love to run as a freshman, and be a part of a selected relay team as a freshman, not specifically at a D1 school, but any school. I am interested in meeting you and hope to see you soon!
