Personal Statement
I am a very commited, determined and ambitious girl. I set goals high for myself, this track season Im excited to have another year to improve my times, I have high expectations for myself in the 400 meters, 200, 100 and other events. I am a senior at North Bend High School, and have been a part of the Track and Field, and Cross Country team all four years of high school. During the fall I am a team captain for the Cross Country team, and during the winter I spend my time training for track and field. I spend much of my time working in the weight room to become stronger, and doing 400 workouts on the track.I am grateful to have been given the oppurtunity to have such wonderful coaches. During my track season I am a team Captain and was voted MVP last year. I love to encourage and push my teammates, I live in a town where wind and rain are a common thing, and sometimes its hard to find the will to go out there and run 600's around the track, but letting them and myself know that it will pay off is enough motivation to get us out there. For the last two years I have been district champion in the Far West League in the 400 meter dash, while I work hard and get to the OSAA State Championships, I seem to be dissapointed at the State Meet, I look forward to getting there again this year and ending my senior year on a great race. I am devoted, not just to myself, but to my team, my family, my school and activities. My freshman year I pulled my hamstring in the prelims at Districts in the 200, but the next day for the final in the 400 I ran it anyways to score a point for my team. I am involved in many extra ciricular activities, I am in Key Club, Student Council, Link Crew, and Mr.Bulldog, I also challenge myself by taking honors and college level classes. I look forward to a great year with my family, teammates, coaches, friends, and for my seasons. I look forward to my future.I promise that when I set my mind to sometthing, I chase after it, in every way possible.
