Personal Statement
Although I have been running since I was 11 years old, I only realized during my freshman cross country season that I had the desire and potential to continue my running career at the collegiate level. Consistently one of the strongest members of my cross country and track teams, I have raced at the varsity level in all of my high school races so far. As my speed, skills, and strength continue to improve, I look forward to the remainder of my high school career and achieving my goals.
Currently, I maintain a 4.2 GPA and hope to find a school that challenges me in both athletics and academics. My ideal college would be located in the South and have competitive track and field and cross country teams. I also hope to find a university with a good physical therapy program, since that is my current career of choice.
Continuing my running career at the collegiate level would be a huge achievement that would positively impact the rest of my life. I look forward to achieving my current goals and reaching for new goals throughout the remainder of my high school career and eventually my collegiate career.
