My first year of track and field in 7th Grade I had no clue I would be successful in it. I quickly realized I loved to race, and I loved to win. I set high expectations for my self and will work hard to meet them. Unlike many other student-athletes my life has not been easy education or financially. I wasn't privileged with an early start to education. Home-schooling throughout elementary school held me back from my peers but I worked hard to catch up with them which sets me aside from them. I have learned the ability to work hard for what I want whether that be financially, educational, or in my athletics.
I set high goals for myself. Starting Tennis I knew I wanted to be on varsity and I worked all summer to achieve that goal and not only did I make varsity but I was 3rd on the team. I consider Track and Field a huge part of my life, I work hard all year round to achieve my goals during the season. I am easy to coach and will do anything to get better. I love introducing it to new athletes and showing them the ropes. Not only am I concerned with personal goals but team goals as well.
Using my learned skills I aspire to receive a good education, and succeed in the sport I'm very passionate about, Track and Field.
