Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Rose Rowe and I am a dedicated student-athlete looking forward to competing in college. I have greatly enjoyed sprinting, jumping and hurdling every spring track season since the sixth grade, and would consider track and field to be a large part of who I am. Losing the 2020 Spring Track season to Covid-19 was a hard blow, but I feel that I grew as a person and an athlete during those months of quarantine. I value the camaraderie and challenges of Track & Field even more since the pandemic, and I've learned new skills, such as hurdling confidently with left and right lead legs.
Having grown up on a farm, I understand the importance of hard work and a positive outlook. Because I am happiest when working outdoors, I am looking for a college with an extensive research department. This year for college, I have decided to stay close to my family due to Covid. I plan on posting new PRs next track season , and am open to transferring in sophomore year.
