I began competing T&F for the first time in my Sophomore year. It was then that I tied the PHS TJ record with another jumper at 33'6.5" Then as a Junior, I jumped a personal best 34'6.5" for the new school record. After attending the T&F clinic at Harvard this summer, I learned some new exercises/techniques and look forward to jumping greater lengths this year as a senior! In the meantime, I have kept my academics a focus, attaining high honor roll, National & RI Honor Society and World Language H.S. My LJ and HJ personal bests are 16'2" and 4'11" respectively. If I continue to improve, I could potentially jump those events in college also. This past year, my HS track coach awarded me most improved T&F member. Prior to high school athletics, I was a competitive Open Champion Irish step dancer for 12 years. My T&F coach says that's probably why my legs were so strong and I had success with jumping.
