Personal Statement
I have been competitively running since I was 13 years old starting on my middle school track team. I have always been a decent runner, but did't know my real talents until I was put into race settings. Throughout my career so far, having the chance to run at the collegiate level would be a major opportunity. For me, my studies always come first, hence the title of 'student athlete'. I am very hardworking and determined to pass with top grades in my honors and AP courses that I am currently enrolled in. I am also on a path to earn and graduate with a CATE Completer Certificate in Health Science Education. My determination in school also translates into my athletic abilities. In practices I work my hardest to be able to drop my race times. I am seen as a leader on my team, and work to always make sure that my actions always benefit my team's success. I have a great ending kick in my races and strive for my fastest possible times. In my free time I volunteer for my local FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) chapter as a student leader, I am the president of Unified Champions and assist with Special Olympics, and I also am a part of National Honor Society and Student Council.
