Personal Statement
My goal in track as well as every other aspect of life is to constantly strive to be the best that I can possibly be. I am not afraid of hard work or commitment. I believe that you get out of everything what you put into it. Very few things bring me as much joy as pole vaulting does, and this is why I want to continue this passion into college. Here is a statement from my high school strength coach, "Kimberly Raber's drive is unlike anything I've ever seen. Theres not a day that goes by where she isn't making the absolute best version of herself. Her will to win and making herself, coaches, family, and God proud of her is her only motivation. She's the most special young lady I have ever come across." -Chad Cooksey Landrum High School Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. I placed 7th in the state for pole vault at the state meet this past May as a Freshman. My goal is to pole vault on the collegiate level, and I am willing to do everything that it takes to accomplish this goal. I thrive off of a good challenge, and goals keep me motivated. I am a team player, but I am also willing to step up and take a leadership position and push my teammates to be the best that they can be as well. I work equally hard in academics as I do in athletics, and I have a 4.8 GPA. I believe that hard work is the key to all success.
