Personal Statement
As a runner, I am a hard worker and I strive to get better everyday. I have been involved in cross country and track and field for 5 years. I have ran on the varsity team since my 8th grade season. I qualified for the state cross country meet in 2013, my 8th grade year, and have been alternate for the past three seasons that our girls team has ran at the state meet. I was also the alternate for the girls 4x800 team this past year that ran at the state track and field meet. I am also involved in basketball. I started playing varsity my sophomore year and was a part of the starting five this past winter season. I work hard in all of the sports I am involved in and make sure to give 100% effort on the course/track/court.
In the classroom I am focused and determined to do my best and give effort in all of my classes. I am an honors student and ranked 3rd in my graduating class. I began taking dual credit courses my sophomore year since our school does not offer AP courses. I am also involved in many extracurricular activities; including NHS, HOSA, FCA, to name a few. I strive to be involved as much as possible.
As a cross country/track and field runner and student, I am determined to give my best effort. I believe that I am very coachable and will do whatever is asked of me in practice and/or in class. I always strive to accomplish my goals and perform to the best of my ability. I have a love for running and I hope to continue to do it in the future.
