Rachel Wheeler '12 Recruiting Profile

I'm Rachel Wheeler. I'm a Junior at Comfort High School. I try not to have unrealistic dreams about going to college to high jump. I know I've only hit 5' as compared to the girl who I watched win regionals with 5'4". The girl had amazing ability and I admired that, and it lead me to want to try harder for this coming season.I realize that a more practical approach would be to be at a D3 or D2 school if I'm eligible. I have confidence in myself to do better within my last two high school seasons of track, but at the same time I know that you can only go "so far." I am ranked 4th in my class. I work hard for my grades and also for my track team. I only participated in high jump last year at the district level and cried because I "only got 2nd." I knew I cold only give theteam 10 points and all I brought home was 8.
