Ameena Benselloum '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Ameena Benselloum and I am a part of the class of 2017 at Westfield High School. When I first joined cross country my freshman year, I had no idea how much running would impact me and become an essential part of my routine. Running has evolved into an intense passion and something that I would love to continue as I travel into the collegiate stage of my life. 

I like to challenge myself in the classroom by taking various AP courses and setting high standards for myself. I love math and science, as shown through my membership in Mu Alpha Theta, and I aspire to work in the medical field someday as some type of doctor. When I am not saturating my brain in academics, I am keeping up with fellow athletes' times, photos, and videos on milesplit. And when I am not running, I can be found coaching volunteer CYA track. 

Team camaraderie is also very important to me, I love my teammates as they are not only people I run alongside every day, but my best friends. By running in college, I hope that with the help of a great coaching staff and supportive teammates, I can reach my full potential for not only myself, but the team, and develop memories I will never forget.
