Personal Statement

Hello coaches! I’m Madeline Madison and my goal is to compete in track and field at the college level. Through sports I’ve learned a lot about discipline. I thrive when I set goals and do everything I can to achieve.

This year is all about growing and pushing myself to compete at a higher level. I want to break my school’s pole vault record and finish in the top 10 at the state meet. I’m currently first in the league and district for 1A pole vault. Statewide I’m ranked 12th.

My work ethic is strong in both athletics and academics. I’ve been awarded the Evergreen Division “All Academic Award” for cross country and track. In addition to competing in track in college, I want to pursue a STEM career.

Last year was my first year competing in track. My work ethic and willingness to learn helped me earn a berth to the 1A state track meet. I also tied our school’s record! It was a huge challenge to learn a new sport and compete at a high level. I’m still progressing and feel there’s so much yet to accomplish.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
