Personal Statement
I HAVE BEEN RECRUITED TO CENTRAL WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY. VERY EXCITED TO BE A WILDCAT!!!
I am looking to continue competing in Track & Field, while obtaining a degree in Criminology. I am interested in a future in law enforcement.
As both an athlete and a student, I always work hard and am focused on doing my best. I love being part of a strong team, and I learned how important this can be to my success from a very young age as a competitive gymnast. I am always supportive of my team, enjoy being coached to improve my performance, and I leave my ego at the door.
My primary event is the 100M hurdles, but I also run the 300M hurdles, 200M dash, and recently, in USATF, I’ve started running the 400M hurdles and the 4x400 relay. I was voted MVP on my high school team the past three years.
In 2016, I broke the 35 year Greater Spokane (GSL) record for the 100M hurdles. I also hold the Mead High School record for 100M hurdles. I was honored to be nominated as one of four Top High School Female Athletes in Spokane by the Spokane Sports Commission two years running.
I am currently working with nationally renowned hurdles coach, Linda Lanker. Her support and expertise are helping me become a stronger athlete and hurdler. I made the Varsity Cheer team for my Senior Year, and I also work part-time at Arby's.
I am part of a large adoptive family--I have 13 brothers and sisters. 8 of us are at home. It is a lot of fun--but I am looking forward to going away for college!
