2017 Highlights Personal Statement
I have been competing in sports since I was 8, beginning with USA Gymnastics, Level 4. I have held the title of USAG State Champion in West Virginia for levels 7 and 8 and took 6th place on floor at 6 State Regionals in 2017. I began Pole Vaulting in 2014, and attended the State Championship all 4 years of High School, taking 2nd place on a judge's decision with a jump height of 10'-6" in 2016 and setting the State Meet record at 12'-1" in 2017. I am currently the State of West Virginia High School record holder with a height of 12'-4". Others would describe me as fiercely competitive, but also extremely compassionate about my team, my sport, and the people around me. I will pursue an Athletic Training education and career so I can help and inspire other athletes along their sports careers. In pole vault and in life, the sky's the limit!
