Rachelle Persson '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since I was in fifth grade, I have a great passion for it and plan to continue playing it beyond high school. My junior year was the first year I played as a libero and I really enjoy playing the position, it excites me because I'm constantly doing something whether it'd be getting ready to dig a hit, or roll a ball over the net that couldn't be set to a hitter, I'm always having to be ready. I love to play volleyball especially competitively, whether we're down by 10 points or up by 10 points I maintain a good attitude. I believe good attitudes are key to any team. I enjoy taking leadership roles in any situation, not just in volleyball but life. What excites me most though, is challenges, because throughout life I know I will face challenges everyday, big or small. And there is no way you can dodge them, just face them.
