Personal Statement
My goal in college is to gain the academic base to enable me to gain entrance into medical school. I realize this will take great commitment on my part but that is the strongest attribute that I have. I have strived to be the best person, student, and volleyball player that I can be. Whether it be by taking on difficult courses, extra lessons/clinics in volleyball, or just being a Bulldog Buddy (helps special needs students on campus), I take great enjoyment in every task that is put before me. I strive to be the best.
I love volleyball and have played since I was eleven. I have had many tremendous coaches whether they be in high school, club, private lessons, or camps and clinics. I have become highly skilled but still have much room for growth. I also began playing sand volleyball in the summer of 2014 and have finished in the gold division if not first second or third in every tournament my partner and I have played in. We just finished top 18's team in our club and have qualified for Hermosa Beach in June.
My offerings to a team are: an intelligent player who is quick, well skilled and very stable in my position ( I do not get flustered, I do my job and help other players to be the best they can be); a player that does not struggle academically and can be counted on to be eligible; a solid individual both on the court and off that is easy to coach and a positive member of the team ( I am definitely not into drama as all will verify who know me!).
In my continual efforts to be the best that I can be, I find it contagious to the rest of my team. I am a player that can be counted on in any situation that arises and this I offer to you.
