Personal Statement
I have dreamt of playing college volleyball for as long as I can remember. I have never put so much effort or cared so deeply about anything in my life. I live and breath volleyball. I am a very dedicated athlete. At practices I am focused and ready to work. I practice like I play and persuade my teammates to do the same. I train year round by doing club and school season, and do weight training and camps in the summer. Playing volleyball for the past 3 years has proven to me that with practice and dedication anything is possible, and if you put the work in you will succeed as an athlete. I try to lead by example and never settle for average. Growing up in a small town there are not a lot of kids and in order to play I have had to play with older more experienced players. This has pushed me to compete at a higher level and forced me to mature as an athlete. It has also made me a more versatile and well-rounded player.
As a student athlete I understand that the classroom is just as important as the game. I currently hold a 3.9 GPA and challenge myself in the classroom, by taking AP, and Dual Enrollment classes. While I have not decided on an academic focus in college, I am leaning towards business.
As a possible student recruit I want to play at the most competitive college or university that suits my ability. I am willing to work harder than anyone to contribute my talents to a team that sees my capability.
