Personal Statement
“God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid. He gave us a spirit of power and love and self control” -2 Timothy 1:7
I am a strong student-athlete that is not only athletically inclined but academically as well. I envision my college years to be a period of personal growth. My goal is to major in pre-med that will prepare me for a career in emergency medicine. Being on the volleyball court with my mother at an early age, I have always been intrigued by the intenseness and mental awareness of the game. On the court, I plan to have a direct impact player with a positive influence that will drive the team to a higher level. I am loyal, dedicated, preserve, and diligent. I am a detail-oriented, creative thinker always seeking ways to learn and grow. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my volleyball career, I will strive to be an asset to the team. I constantly set goals for myself, and I persistently try to achieve above and beyond. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court, knowing that the way I carry myself is not only a reflection on the Washington family but to my team mates, coaches, and the university that I attend. God. Family. Volleyball.
