Sophie Skinner '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a St. in high school with a 4.0 and I have been training as a setter for the last six years. I was given the opportunity to move up on my Varsity team my Freshman year and ran a 5-1 and had 1013 assists. I was selected All Conference,  All State, and Offensive player of the year. My Sophomore season I ran a 5-1 and broke my schools record with 1348 assists. As a result, I was selected  3 time All Conference, 3 time All State, and 3 time All State Tournament Team.  I’m my Jr. season I broke records with over 3000 assists. I was chosen MVP at Under Armour All America this summer in Orlando and have made the High Performance Training program and 3 time Delta region High Performance. 

 I have been selected for the Delta Region High Performance Camp 3 years in a row.  

I played on the 501 16s Beach National team and finished in the top 5 in all my tournament play. My partner and I have earned a bid and played in Nationals at Manhattan Beach. We finished 9th in our division.

I have made the 501 16s National team and started with a winning season that was cut short because of Covid-19. 

During The St Louis Classic I was honored to be selected as All Tournament Team in the Premiere division.

I was also recently selected for the second year in a row to the AVCA Phenom Watch List.

 I was also honored  this week as All Garland Co. First Team Player of the Year. and was recently selected to the USA National High Performance Team program.

I love being a leader and running  the court, I strive to make my hitters shine and can not wait to play next level.
