Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Maleah Behrens and I attend Lonoke High School at Lonoke, Arkansas. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I am hoping to pursue an education in athletic training or something along those lines. I love to play volleyball, learn new things, and watch movies. Volleyball has always been important in my life because my mom played it in high school and I fell in love with the sport at an early age. Competing at a high level for volleyball is something that I enjoy very much and I am determined to succeed. I am 6'0" tall and I have a good vertical so I usually play as a middle hitter for club and high school, however, I am also well versed in the positions of opposite and outside hitter. I also usually play back row and pass for one rotation in school and in club, but I have worked extremely hard to say that I am confident in my passing skills as well because I want to be a diverse and helpful player.  I actually spent most of my time in quarantine working on my setting skills, which were not very strong, and I was able to play as a secondary setter in school sometimes because I excelled further with my skills. I am also able to read volleyball plays pretty well and I like to think that I am a strategic player. I want to always be challenged to be the best player that I can possibly be and I am ready to be a team player at a college level. This is why I'd love to compete at a high-level college with some of the best coaches and players there are!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
