Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Cecilia Granillo. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and attend Sunnyslope High School. Freshman and Sophomore year I started as a setter on Junior Varsity. I have been playing volleyball since the sixth grade and my love for the game has gone up every year. For three years I have played for the Aspire Volleyball Club. I am now the starting setter for the KROC Voleyball Club 17-1s.
I currently volunteer with the Special Olympic Volleyball team, and volunteered within the community. During the school year I was Treasurer for Student Ambassadors, and will become President this senior year. In order to continue to better my skills in setting I train at KROC Volleyball Club with Robin Law. In addition, I attend training speed and agility training twice a week with Triplex.
I am looking at all schools big and small, with a respected educational reputation. As a student in college I plan to give all effort into getting good grades along with being the best team leader I can be. Depicting the location for where I want to play doesn’t concern me, as long as I get to play in college.
My special interest for a future career would be in the medical field. Since I was little I have always wanted to work in a hospital knowing that I work well with others. As a student in college my goals are to maintain a solid G.P.A and become a better volleyball player each day.
