Addison Vavala '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to earn a degree in four years. I want to go to a college that will prepare me for life after volleyball. I'm willing to do whatever it takes for any school that will give me the opportunity to play volleyball. I have a great work ethic and I've always been able to lead by example by showing my teammates,in both school and club, that hard work pays off. Since I'm usually not the tallest girl on any team I've been on I've been able to outwork almost everybody I play with, to achieve both team and personal goals. I've been a setter my entire volleyball career but would be willing to play libero or defensive specialist for any school that will give me the opportunity.Through my first two years of high school I've been able to maintain a 3.86 GPA while taking the highest available classes for my grade. I believe my leadership skills are evident by the fact I was chosen by coaches and teammates to be the captain of the varsity volleyball team my sophomore year. I was also selected for the coaches leadership award on the varsity basketball team my first year playing in high school. I am confident I can be a great asset to any college volleyball program.
