Camryn Rowell '17 Recruiting Profile

I am currently in my eighth year of playing volleyball; and, I love it.  During these years, I have learned a lot about teamwork, leadership, commitment, and sacrifice.  Throughout my years of club volleyball, I have been to Nationals, the AAU National Tournament, and the AAU Global Challenge in Europe; and, I like this higher level of competition.  I have played as a setter in the past, but I am currently a hitter; and, I am willing to do whatever is needed for my team.  On my 2015 varsity team, I played as an OH/OPP in the front row and a setter in the back row.   I offered to play both positions because my team was lacking a second setter.  I am currently the team captain for the Stockdale Mustangs varsity volleyball team; and, I am a 6-rotation OH.   I was also the OH/DS for my club's 18s team.  I am working with a trainer to increase my stamina and athletics on the court; and, I am training with Alfee Reft at PEAK Volleyball Academy to improve my skill and technique.   I want to continue to improve and become the best player I can be.  My goal is to play in the most competitive college volleyball program I can.  I also want to attend a school where I can achieve my academic and career goals.  I am a team player, a hard worker, and I am dedicated to the sport.  I play well under pressure.  I am rarely nervous and I can easily shake off a mistake. I am as cool as a cucumber.  I have a fast arm swing and quick reflexes.  I believe that my skill, personality, and commitment will benefit your team.
