Personal Statement
I go to Homestead High School in Cupertino, California. I was a starter on junior varsity freshman year and I started on varsity volleyball all of my sophomore and junior years. While balancing my very rigorous courses, school volleyball, community service, and volunteering, I am currently maintaining a steady 3.73 GPA. I am coaching several boys and girls volleyball players from 1st - 10th grade. I am positive that I would like to play volleyball in college and study physical therapy. To look into my future career in the medical field, I will try finding ways to volunteer at hospitals and continue participating in advanced high school science courses. For volleyball, I will continue to commit 100% to improve as much as I possibly can.
Being a part of several rigorous courses and extra curricular activities has taught me leadership, time management skills, and the ability to self advocate and take responsibility for myself. I am a positive and optimistic person both on and off the court and enjoy improving along with my teammates.
I have been playing volleyball since fourth grade and loved it since day one. I am completely sure that volleyball is my passion and that I want to continue with it throughout my entire life. I want to play volleyball in college because I will have an even more positive college experience if volleyball is involved. I also play beach volleyball during the summer in Sweden. I play in Swedish beach volleyball tournaments and practice with older age groups in indoor volleyball.
I am a hard worker and will do whatever it takes to meet any goals I create. I am a team player And like to improve and succeed while helping those around me do the same.
