Hailey Lindberg '15 Recruiting Profile

I have signed with Santa Clara University, as of 10/2013. My personal goal is to do my best and to impact the world around me, whether it is my team, my school or my community. I try to be a leader and a role model through my work ethic, integrity and by always treating people fairly and kindly. I am cheerful and positive, a good team builder and listener.    Academically: I am a strong student, a member of the Honor Society, a Scholar Athlete and a member of the #1 ACVA All American Academic team 2012, a member of the High School Debate team and the high school Leadership team. I plan to pursue a degree in Business, and possibly Entrepreneurship (I have had my own Pastry Business for 5 years).   Athletics: My goal is to play volleyball in college and beyond, and to become the best player I can be. I am a member of the #2 ranked team in Northern California 2012, and #19 at J/O's 2012. I have been a starter on my D1 High School Varsity team since Freshman year, and both years we have made it to NCS Semi Finals. Also in 2012 I was named to both the NCVA HP Global Challenge Croatia Team and the NCVA USA HP International Youth Team as a Middle Blocker. I am a competitive person, yet I'm always supportive and respectful of my teammates.  Community Service: Helping others  is who I am--I've earned the US Presidential Gold Award for Volunteerism through my efforts with the Youth Action Council, and I'm working on my Gold Award for Girl Scouts.  I feel that even a small effort can have a big impact on the community around us.  For example, the area Food Bank had a need for a healthy cookbook, and so  I am currently developing a cookbook of healthy recipes, which will be published through a Food Bank Grant in 2013. I personally belive that I can make a difference in the world, through the way that I approach my academics, sports, school and community. :)
